Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare, Consumer Goods and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.23%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which rose 2.76% or 0.14 points to trade at 5.09 at the close. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) added 2.29% or 0.66 points to end at 29.50 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was up 1.99% or 0.19 points to 9.72 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 2.54% or 0.0880 points to trade at 3.3720 in late trade. Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) declined 2.09% or 0.44 points to end at 20.59 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) shed 1.58% or 0.052 points to 3.230.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 92 to 81 and 16 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for June delivery was down 1.16% or 0.45 to $38.22 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.98% or 0.36 to hit $36.43 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.47% or 5.70 to trade at $1217.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.06% to 1.1396, while EUR/GBP fell 0.37% to 0.7978.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.08% at 94.50.
