Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare, Financials and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 0.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP), which rose 5.88% or 1.32 points to trade at 23.77 at the close. Buzzi Unicem (MI:BZU) added 3.37% or 0.74 points to end at 22.70 and UBI Banca (MI:UBI) was up 3.08% or 0.1060 points to 3.5480 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Atlantia (MI:ATL), which lost 2.67% or 0.62 points to trade at 22.60 in late trade. Saipem (MI:SPMI) declined 2.22% or 0.0089 points to end at 0.3926 and Tenaris (MI:TENR) shed 1.78% or 0.27 points to 14.94.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 202 to 134 and 21 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.02% or 0.01 to $50.86 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.30% or 0.16 to hit $53.09 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.19% or 2.40 to trade at $1281.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.35% to 1.0749, while EUR/GBP rose 0.05% to 0.8384.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 99.54.
