Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Industrials and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 0.97%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 2.99% or 1.08 points to trade at 37.18 at the close. Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) added 1.33% or 3.8 points to end at 289.6 and Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) was up 1.20% or 2.30 points to 194.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa), which lost 2.93% or 8.5 points to trade at 281.7 in late trade. Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) declined 2.62% or 3.20 points to end at 119.00 and Getinge AB ser. B (BS:GETIBs) shed 2.55% or 3.7 points to 141.3.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 306 to 280 and 81 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.86% or 1.00 to $52.78 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 2.10% or 1.18 to hit $55.06 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.28% or 3.35 to trade at $1186.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.22% to 9.4629, while USD/SEK rose 0.15% to 8.8529.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.10% at 100.62.
