Investing.com – Indonesia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Property, Consumer Industry and Basic Industry sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite added 0.31%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Bintang Mitra Semestaraya Tbk (JK:BMSR), which rose 28.95% or 33.00 points to trade at 147.00 at the close. Steady Safe TBK PT (JK:SAFE) added 17.65% or 18 points to end at 120 and Alam Sutera Realty Tbk (JK:ASRI) was up 16.27% or 68 points to 486 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bank Qnb Indonesia Tbk (JK:BKSW), which lost 9.84% or 38 points to trade at 348 in late trade. Global Teleshop Tbk (JK:GLOB) declined 9.82% or 55 points to end at 505 and Dwi Aneka Jaya Kemasindo Tbk (JK:DAJK) shed 9.78% or 9.00 points to 83.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 161 to 124 and 98 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.60% or 0.30 to $49.66 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.69% or 0.35 to hit $50.30 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.69% or 8.95 to trade at $1283.15 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was down 0.09% to 13248.0, while AUD/IDR rose 0.49% to 9935.05.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.19% at 93.50.
