Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Oil & Gas and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.20% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb), which rose 2.40% or 3.46 points to trade at 147.46 at the close. Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa) added 1.86% or 6.1 points to end at 334.2 and Atlas Copco AB ser. B (ST:ATCOb) was up 1.46% or 4.3 points to 298.4 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which lost 2.23% or 5.80 points to trade at 254.20 in late trade. Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) declined 1.61% or 1.70 points to end at 103.80 and Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) shed 1.33% or 2.4 points to 178.5.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 374 to 332 and 71 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.46% or 0.23 to $49.79 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.06% or 0.03 to hit $52.54 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.13% or 1.71 to trade at $1265.49 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.38% to 9.5527, while USD/SEK rose 0.16% to 8.7904.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 99.13.
