Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Healthcare and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.69%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA), which rose 3.00% or 1.27 points to trade at 43.65 at the close. Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken A (ST:SEBa) added 1.74% or 1.30 points to end at 75.80 and Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb) was up 1.65% or 4.2 points to 258.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb), which lost 1.49% or 1.39 points to trade at 91.91 in late trade. Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) declined 0.72% or 1.6 points to end at 220.4 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) shed 0.71% or 1.00 points to 139.20.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 307 to 251 and 53 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.79% or 0.38 to $48.69 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.57% or 0.28 to hit $49.56 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.22% or 2.85 to trade at $1274.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.01% to 9.3425, while USD/SEK rose 0.35% to 8.2851.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.15% at 94.69.
