Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Real Estate, Insurance and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 added 0.83% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Gazit Globe (TA:GZT), which rose 4.04% or 124 points to trade at 3194 at the close. Teva (TA:TEVA) added 2.96% or 660 points to end at 22990 and Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) was up 2.90% or 450 points to 15950 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bezeq (TA:BEZQ), which lost 2.44% or 21.7 points to trade at 868.3 in late trade. Isramco L (TA:ISRAp) declined 0.79% or 0.5 points to end at 63.1 and OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) shed 0.69% or 27 points to 3893.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 210 to 130 and 112 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 1.83% or 0.70 to $37.59 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 2.31% or 0.95 to hit $40.12 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 0.86% or 10.80 to trade at $1268.20 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.21% to 3.8845, while EUR/ILS rose 1.17% to 4.3317.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.85% at 96.36.
