Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Petrochemicals, Energy & Utilities and Multi Investment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 1.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Saudi United Cooperative Insurance (SE:8060), which rose 10.00% or 1.45 points to trade at 15.95 at the close. BURUJ COOPERATIVE INSURANCE CO (SE:8270) added 9.68% or 1.50 points to end at 17.00 and Saudi Kayan Petrochemical Company (SE:2350) was up 9.09% or 0.50 points to 6.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Saudi vitrified clay pipes co. (SE:2360), which lost 2.85% or 1.75 points to trade at 59.75 in late trade. Saudi Telecom (SE:7010) declined 2.31% or 1.25 points to end at 52.75 and Jarir Marketing Co (SE:4190) shed 2.09% or 1.75 points to 82.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 120 to 32 and 17 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.97% or 0.96 to $49.65 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.81% or 0.92 to hit $51.79 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.27% or 3.45 to trade at $1273.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.02% to 4.2047, while USD/SAR fell 0.03% to 3.7510.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 96.09.
