Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Energy, Food, Beverages & Tobacco and Consumer Durables And Apparel sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 1.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which rose 2.69% or 5.9 points to trade at 225.3 at the close. Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) added 0.15% or 0.2 points to end at 137.8 and Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) was down 0.06% or 0.05 points to 85.35 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which lost 18.36% or 1.01 points to trade at 4.47 in late trade. Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) declined 7.46% or 3.90 points to end at 48.40 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) shed 5.23% or 0.44 points to 7.89.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 118 to 58 and 26 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.04% or 0.51 to $49.41 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.70% or 0.36 to hit $51.82 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.78% or 9.83 to trade at $1266.23 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.42% to 9.3760, while USD/NOK fell 0.07% to 8.3931.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 97.39.
