Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Consumer Goods and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.70%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which rose 2.67% or 3.60 points to trade at 138.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) added 1.57% or 3.7 points to end at 239.0 and Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb) was up 1.41% or 1.50 points to 107.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Modern Times Group MTG AB ser. B (ST:MTGBs), which fell 0.70% or 1.6 points to trade at 226.7 at the close. Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA) declined 0.47% or 0.25 points to end at 52.50 and Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) was down 0.19% or 0.20 points to 107.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 265 to 168 and 6 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 3.19% or 1.47 to $44.58 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 3.34% or 1.66 to hit $47.95 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.29% or 3.30 to trade at $1118.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.40% to 9.4452, while USD/SEK rose 0.22% to 8.4550.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.12% at 96.14.
