Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Media, Energy and Transport sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.89%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which rose 9.82% or 3.0 points to trade at 33.9 at the close. Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) added 5.57% or 9.9 points to end at 187.5 and Schibsted ASA B (OL:SBSTB) was up 4.46% or 7.50 points to 175.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which lost 3.25% or 0.04 points to trade at 1.13 in late trade. Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) declined 1.90% or 0.79 points to end at 40.74 and Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFS) shed 1.11% or 1.5 points to 133.2.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 98 to 76 and 22 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.98% or 1.01 to $51.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 2.09% or 1.13 to hit $55.15 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.85% or 9.60 to trade at $1139.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.45% to 9.0675, while USD/NOK rose 0.04% to 8.6722.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.38% at 102.76.
