Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Oil & Gas and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 1.42%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which rose 0.92% or 4.10 points to trade at 450.10 at the close. Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb) added 0.33% or 0.60 points to end at 182.60 and Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb) was up 0.12% or 0.3 points to 259.1 in late trade.
Biggest losers included SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which lost 4.47% or 1.26 points to trade at 26.90 in late trade. Hennes & Mauritz AB, H & M ser. B (ST:HMb) declined 3.00% or 8.8 points to end at 284.5 and Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) shed 2.91% or 2.40 points to 80.15.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 341 to 199 and 50 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 3.01% or 1.12 to $36.06 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 2.83% or 1.12 to hit $38.41 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 1.02% or 12.70 to trade at $1232.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.23% to 9.2433, while USD/SEK fell 0.25% to 8.3238.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.07% at 96.67.
