Investing.com – Indonesia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Property, Financials and Basic Industry sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite added 0.24%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Nusa Konstruksi Enjiniring Tbk (JK:DGIK), which rose 12.50% or 7 points to trade at 63 at the close. Bank Maspion Indonesia Tbk (JK:BMAS) added 11.76% or 40 points to end at 380 and Ricky Putra Globalindo Tbk (JK:RICY) was up 10.06% or 16 points to 175 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bakrie Sumatera Plantations (JK:UNSP), which lost 90.00% or 450 points to trade at 50 in late trade. Eratex Djaja Tbk (JK:ERTX) declined 9.90% or 20 points to end at 182 and Bentoel International Investama (JK:RMBA) shed 9.88% or 48 points to 438.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 184 to 132 and 83 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 4.67% or 2.11 to $47.34 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 5.05% or 2.39 to hit $49.71 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.00% or 0.05 to trade at $1190.75 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 0.36% to 13573.0, while AUD/IDR fell 0.79% to 10083.70.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.08% at 101.06.
