MELBOURNE, Nov 3 (Reuters) - France's Engie ENGIE.PA said on Thursday it would shut its Hazelwood power station in March 2017, as it could not justify further investments in Australia's dirtiest coal-fired plant, and was looking to sell two other Australian power plants.
"It has been a wonderful contributor to the National Electricity Market but we have now reached the point where it is no longer economic to operate," Engie's Australian Chief Executive Alex Keisser said in a statement.
