ASX 200 Futures Discussions

any suggestions for SLR bull or bear
Could be a good buy. Looks like it found some buying support at the old low of 1.565 back on June 21. I would have stops at around 1.54 just in case.
yes
Any Suggestions for SLR Please
China declares war on USA
where is volume?
Can anyone help me with a chart please? Looking at the S&P ASX200 chart, how can I display %? It would help me more if I could see the % change as the day progresses, is there a way or should I just do the calculations? Unfortunately points don't convey what my brain uses which is course is my problem.
Try selecting "Chart Properties" (the wheel). Then "Scales" from the drop-down menu and then click on "Percentage"
is ZIP coming back now?
Can anyone explain what asx200 futures is about and how it is different to the asx200?
Hi Peter - the SPI200 Futures contract in simple terms, is basically the tradable version of the XJO - ASX200 Index. Futures are a derivative product that derives its value from some underlying asset, in this case the ASX200 Index. It's also a 24 hours market (apart from a close from 4:40pm to 5:10pm AEST and 6:00am to 9:50am AEST), so it gives ASX traders an indication of the general direction of the day session ahead. You'll find more detailed explanations online. Hope this helps.
Sorry - correction - the close is 4:30pm AEST.
Thanks Jeremy, I thought so but was confused by 'futures'.

Whats the point of looking at futures indicators if theyre 2 hours behind! ASX set to open 20 points down in 10 mins (10am) and youre still showing it up from 8am!!
Agree
Futures do not trade 24hrs/day. The overnight session for the   ASX200 index futures close at 7am during US daylight saving and 8am during non-US daylight savings.
buy at 6780 tp 6833
buy at 6780 tp 6833
I disagree, the market is predictable -its just not an exact science it just depends on what your expectations are in line with your skills and capital management - its easy to return 10% p.a for some and for others 100% return is below expectations I know where I sit the onlky question is where do you sit and what kind of return are you happy with and how much capital are you inputting to get there - the rest is just your system -its not rocket science.

April buy! May buy !! June buy!!! July buy!!!!! August buy!!!!!! September, October and November buy buy buy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why do people keep saying move to cash and crash is coming. 3 words buy buy buy. Or miss out. Up to you.
from march low until now has risen almost 50 percent. wait a few more weeks and see how much more it will rise. Then buy in at the top of market and wait for a correction. Sell to cash at the correction low and then repeat until diminishing returns leaves you with zero and then worries are over.
Predictiction of bull market and went to cash ????? Already missed 10 percent  in november. At least go to gold.
In cash for novemer ? missed out on 10 percent.
For those who don't understand, Bull Markets don't go up in a straight line. Trade the Index and not individual shares and your portfolio will do well.
John how do we trade Index ? Trade S&P/ASX200 index ? Or ASX200 futures ?
Safer to be in cash ATM. Will see how the markets play out over the next week or two or three or whenever.
The next 10 year bull market has begun. Sit on your hands and miss out.
Next catalyst would be US stimulus which could come at anytime as they can not afford to delay it any longer or the FED will more.
do not fight the FED and Central Banks. The risk on the market is to the upside. The higher the market goes the more scared traders become.I am staying long.It is always a gamble in the market. The DOW will retake 30000 and go higher.
