The company was formerly known as Sino Union Energy Investment Group Limited and changed its name to Yanchang Petroleum International Limited in May 2012. The company was incorporated in 2001 and is headquartered in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. Yanchang Petroleum International Limited is a subsidiary of Yanchang Petroleum Group (Hong Kong) Co., Limited.
