- 09 Mar 2022, 08:33Likely to stay closed until next week. LME has stated all Tuesdays trades are cancelled. Market to reopen at Mondays closing rate, but with a +- 10% movement limit (if the 10% limit hit market will close for the day). Problem at re open is there is still the short position that needs to be covered and everyone knows it, so likely to go limit up and close very quickly - probably happen for a few days until the positions in question are squared away.
